Community Service (Relief Riders)

Words are not enough to the services that are provided by the Relief Riders of Hyderabad (Cycling community of Hyderabad)  India has gone through a horrific Covid second wave where the entire medical system got choked with the influx of Covid patients. The lockdown restricted movement of people.
Relief Riders of Hyderabad have played a pivotal role in providing the below services. There were situations when the team handling the calls was sleepless for 48 hours straight. 

• Delivery of medicines and essentials to vulnerable covid patients and senior citizens by bicycle

• Maintaining and providing bed occupancy/availability at hospitals

• Free donation of Food and Medical supplies (in some cases) to all the affected people

• Providing Oxygen concentrators

• Connecting plasma donors with patients who were in need

• Blood donation campaigns and, connecting donors and needy

• Food and ration donations to the daily wage people

Relief Riders (taking inspiration from Bengaluru Bicycle Mayor) were the concept where we proved that cyclists are not the problem on the road but the solution on the road. This proved Hyderabad is fully loaded with selfless volunteerism and a flood of humanity.

 Currently, Relief Riders are engaging the cycling community with various other projects:

• Chethilo Sanchi

• Seed ball Campaign

• Blood donation by Volunteers

• Community Patrolling by bicycle
